> Advice B4 Getting The Phone (K700)

Hi ALL! I would really appretiate it if you could answer my questions:
1) At the moment I have a NOKIA 7210, will it be really hard, adjusting to sony ericsson, or will I get used to it in a few days?
2) I know, I posted a topic about this before, but I just want to make sure! If I buy the k700 sim-free and put in my vodafone pay as you go sim card, will the features which are blocked in the branded version still apply? And if i take that sim out, will the fone be branded?
3) Are there really SERIOUS bugs with the R2L version?
4) Last question and a stupid one! If I buy the k700 from the UK, can I use it in South Africa?
5) Does bluetooth, and sending files via bluetooth cost?

It is easy to adjust unless you have learning difficulties.
Bluetooth is completetly free for sending files and everything else it does. Those are the ones I can answer!

If you use a vodafone card in a simfree phone thanks thing mp3 ring tones will work. The removal of features is built into the firmware of the phone purchased, not in the sim card. Oh and a phone cannot becomed branded from a sim card.
The k700i operates over the same network frequencies as the 7210 so i'm fairly sure if your 7210 worked in SA so would the K700i

Hi If the 7210 runs on the same software as the 7250i then there are some problems. With messaging you have to use your left hand..or press the joystick twice..i kinda think is annoyin, this is due to the fact that the space key is located on the # button. Searching through names you can only search by first character. There's a smaller message storage capacity as well. They aren't massively hard to get used to i guess depends if you can't change habits easily. I posted a very biased user review if you want to hear my opinions
..But the phone actually is really great to own

One thing you should do is see _the_ phone you will buy turned on in person. You can avoid getting the pinkisher/greener/whatever LEDs that way. I'm quite disappointed with my LED colour.
As honus_700 said, the location of the space key on # is a serious drawback in my opinion, as you can see in my review on both these issues. The best solution to this is to support the phone with your fingers, not your palm. This puts the base of your thumb high enough that you can still reach the # key sort of comfortably, although losing stability. Others have suggested putting grip stuff on the back of the phone, but I think that will throw off its beauty.

Answer no. 1 - It is very easy, my girlfriend was using N6100 and now she has T630 - she would never return back to Nokia...
Answer no. 2 - if you buy unbranded phone in plug in Vodafone SIM - nothing will happen to your phone - itīs problem of branded phones...
Answer no. 3 - I have R2L - and no problems
Answer no. 4 - I think yes
Answer no. 5 - no m8, bluetooth is wireless technology which works in a range 10 metres. Letīs say similar to infrared.
