Hi,

I'm testing the sending of ringtones to my T230 in imelody format, but I can't make them work...

my phone detects them as a melody, but when I try to play it it does nothing, and if I try to edit it, it says "cannot open item, delete?"

the imelody I'm trying is at http://www.juanin.com/simpsons.imy

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Maybe the T230 can't open these types of melodies. I've tried only the mid melodies, but I will try this to and will inform soon.

I think this file is damaged or something. It occupies only 120 bytes! Usually polyphonic melodies occupie kylobytes!

yes, the T230 supports imelody

but imelody is not polyphonic, it's monophonic

Yeah The T230 supports i melody fomats but you cannot open and edit these tones. I wonder why?

anyway, I don't want to edit it, I just want to play it!!!

but when I play it, nothing happens, it comes back to the previous menu (my sounds)

I tried all sorts of things, with all the required headers, only the MELODY header and others...

any ideas??

imy tones are supported by 230.i had a similar problem too, but the tone works when i set it as ringtone and can hear it in my sounds too. the tones which i compoose can be opened again and again.

i just went to the link you gave me and it gave me the keypress for that tone. using winxp and opera. pretty cool.

I also tried selecting "set as ring" and the same happens, it does not produce any sound, and can not edit it...

is that what you mean??

did the one I put on the web work for you?
by which method did you uploaded it to your phone?
