Hi guys,
i have adapted a clone flash cable to be a data cable, I know that it works becuase I have the modem driver installed, and working, modem query checks out AOK.

However I cannot get the Ericsson software working, I have windows XP.
I do not want to buy a genuine data cable cus I will have a IR equiped PC soon, I just need this to backup my phonebook before the t68i update, I think £30 for a cable is a bit much.

Can anyone with experience of clone cables, or tell me which software to use with t68m and if I need to change any com settings, or do I need to make any addition mods to the cable, as all I did was change pins 6,7 to 4,5 and disconnect the flash.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but I don't think I made myself clear, I had already done a search found the instructions and made the cable mod, and I can get the phone to work and a modem in windows.
I still can't get the ericsson software to work!!!! I think its to do with my computer configuration
I had a search about and I couldn't find anything conclusive.

I have Athlon XP, KT7A-Raid, WinXP, and a upgraded T68i in the morning, when I pick it up from the shop.

Once again anyone who ran into problems with the software not detecting the phone, please list your experience, and any steps you took to solve the problem

Thanks again.

Maybe the Ericsson software is not supported by Win XP.
