...that can I get all the contact details to be displayed that I backed up from my phone on my computer through the PC suite?
In other words, to make myself more clear I would like everything backed up like contacts, appointments etc to be displayed on the computer screen so I can key them to some other phone that I will be using till the P910 gets released on the UK Voda network.
Thanks.

you can extract the contacts.cdb from the back in the following way
in windows explorer go to c:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Sony Ericsson\backups
and you will find one or more backup file with the name you gave it
you can open the file with winzip and locate the file called filestore.dat.txt
view that file and find contacts.cdb
the number shown at the beginning of the line found with contacts.cdb in it is the .dat file name else where in the archive which represents the contacts.cdb (as all the backuped up files are just sequentially numbered within the archive) so now extract that file from the archive and rename it as contacts.cdb
thats as far as I can take you but you can edit the file with notepad or wordpad and try and make some sense of it but also I have read there is a P900 emulator on the developer site and if you can find that you can replace the contacts.cdb you have extracted from the archive into the directory used for that file in the emulator and hence view the contacts in the emulator
I hope that gives you some ideas anyway and let me know how you go

@masseur
Thanks for that. Making sense of it all after opening the file with Notepad and wordpad is some serious business! but hopefully when I have receovered from the shock of losing my P900 I will get round it and try to recover my contacts for the mean time.

If you don't mind my asking, how did you lose it?

Thats the thing I have no idea how I lost it. I think it fell out of my pocket when I was outdoors with my mates, but not sure where and when it slipped out.
