What exacltly is this and what can it do? , i read on some other forums and they said u can flash ur fone to a newer firmware version is this true ?.

It is a deskstand/sync station for your phone.
And yes.... theoretically you could upgrade your firmware with this from the
upgarde page... however for K700 the service appears not to be working at present

The DSS-25 is the Desk Sync Station that accompanies the P900 phone.
The trial-version of the K700 Online Update service required the DSS-25 or DSS-20 to work.

i don't know but it was discussed on this site before so perhaps you could search for it?
The 'search' button is located int he top right corner
In any case it is not currently working so the site may not even be up at all
