whats the best connection for data transfer from my phone to laptop and which model do you recommend for my k700i?

You can use Cable, InfraRed or Bluetooth.
I recommend Bluetooth as it is fastest & most convenient.
Having a P900 & a VAIO myself gives the even better method of putting the MemoryStick in the computer
