I just went to a store in oslo to get my brand new k700 a fw upgrade from r2a to r2l. But i noticed that the main menu is much slower and \"laggier\" than before. Wtf? Or is this just normal after such a upgrade? I also notice, as i write, that the layout when posting slightly differs from the old layout. Oh, and there is not a steadier framerate at videos than before. Not as i could recognise.

Looks like SE guys are having problems with upgrades, first T6xx and now K700i, so you better go back to SE and get your phone flashed with the old fw...

Seems like every writing layouts are downgraded to a much much cheaper look. Could it be due to battery saving? Also, now it has appeard shortcuts to sony ericsson wap site everywere! I was so glad they got rid of that shit in the first place. I'll guess i'm going back to r2a..

no - dont do that - that would be ridicolous
Yes the menu moves a litle less smooth on R2L than on R2A - its hardly a big problem
R2L fixes so many other things that are way more important.
Just keep your R2L - and benefit from the other things that were improved - next firmware perhaps the menu will move smoothly again.

You are probably right, but this really annoys me. And i hate the new cheap siemens wannabe lookalike layout when texting. Shame i didn't got the k700 long enough to actually FEEL the bugs of the old firmware before upgrading. Now i am a bit disappoited:(

@gul3 - Welcome to the club mate

. . . Since it's your 'own' fone, better decide for it yourself, if you want the stock firmware then go for it, but first, better ask for some (feedbacks) setbacks that might occur

Good Luck pal!

@Gul3: Out of curiosity, what is the difference between the old texting and the new one?
