> K700i camera HELP!

Hi, I've been using the phone for two days, and I saw that in the second evening that the camera and video recording sometimes get slower and less smoother, it is especially apparent when you move the phone around -Sometimes it goes smoothly, at others it becomes slow and blurry-
Does anyone else have the same problem? If so, what is the reason and the solution (might it have anything to do with the amount of light, or the lens?)
Please please help or I'm gonna go insane, thanks.

This is also what happens sometimes:
In a bit dark condition, I start recording, away from the light source in the place, and the recording is sloppy and blurry, then, I move the phone close to the light source, and the recording becomes smoother and clearer, then, I move back to the spot where I first started recording, and I continue to record, but now the recording is as clear and smooth as it was when it was close to the light source!!!
Does this make any sense, anyone???

Yes, it's simple. With high levels of light, the video codec can easily compress the video data but it gets more difficult on a dark situation since it's complicated to avoid noise and locate changes between video-frames. So, as the processor power is dramatically limited, the codec cannot compress 10fps as it can do on a brighter scenario.

Isn't it a simple case of shutter speed?
The camera automaticly slows down the shutter speed so more light can come in, therefore Slowing the picture down?

I wonder if this issue could be adressed in the next firmware update...

It's a standard issue. The ccd in the camera quite literally has to count the number of photons it captures. In darker situations it's harder to do this as there are less hence with a low speed processor you get blur or noise. Night mode helps but all this does is leave the shutter open longer so you effectively get less frames in video mode. Doesn't hurt a still picture as much but again the processing speed of the phone is so low you get noise. My p900 has a far superior night mode even though similar cam

I would say it's an issue will all phones & digital camcorders with the degree of effect being related to the capability of the hardware e.g processing power
