I got my K700i flashed at an SE service point today (after carphone warehouse said they couldn't) and i have just tried to switch off the phone .... and i can't....

When i press the power button to switch off it seems to do so then immediately the screen flashes white 3 times and restarts the phone....

Should i get them to reflash the phone again or is this a known bug which people have experienced?

Its kinda annoying that i would have to remove the battery to get the phone to power down!

Thanks

its not normaal , as i bought mine k700i with r2l f/w and doesnt happen to me

i think they made a mistake with flashing your phone ( lets say its not the complete f/w that they installed )

no it's not a known bug. get the service centre to reflash your phone and if it still persists, they might have to swap u a new handset.

How much does it cost you to have the firmware upgraded?

As long as you can provide the proof-of-purchase to show its within warrenty period (12 months) and you take it to an authoirised SE service point it costs nothing.

Non-SE auth'd places would no doubt charge cos they can't claim back from SE for the warrenty work.

At least in UK it does.

Kinda need a little more to go on than what you asked....all i know is where the manchester one is (and that took some strategic questioning to get them to admit is is in manchester)

Call sony ericsson customer services and they will (badly) tell you where your nearest service point is
