Anybody else had this same text ?

SE could probably do it, but i doubt they would do if for you.
Everyone who got their phone from Vodafraud are in the same boat, except those who got the phone from places such as
http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk
Im sure someone will work out how to use MP3's on VP branded handsets eventually.

Has any body managed to get SE to flash the software yet and dump the awful vodafruad live software yet?

No. At present there is on way to flash it with clean software and there may never be a way either, as the phone will only accept new firmware with the same digital 'signature' and at present the only matching signature is that of branded software. SE will obviously not ever change this, nor will Vodafone, so the only way would be to hack the software and change signatures. I would not put my hopes on that if I were you.

It WILL be "hacked" eventually just as all previous models have been. It's a matter of time I reckon. However good security is made there will be someone who can crack it
I like the name 'Vodafraud'
I hope this time everyone will learn the lesson and NOT but from them ever again, it's the only action that will affect them.

I suspect we're talking MONTHS rather than weeks before somebody has a working 'debranding' firmware is available. :-)
