new versions available on website from today go to p910 click on support pc suite version 3.0.0 is there which can be used for p900 or even p800.

They are reverse compatable with P800 and P900. The download for the uk says version 3.0.0 on the front end but when you try to download it, it is actually version 2.4.1.

thanks for that. I looked yesterday and the applications and synchronisation wasn't even there. (wanted to have the P910 sync suite pre-installed before my P910 arrives tomorrow
)

That is if you are going in from the P800 support screen. If you go in for P910i support the uk version is version 3

Upgrading from P800 or P900 PC Suite to 3.0.0 (P910) PC Suite
The Sony Ericsson PC Suite has an upgraded synchronisation database compared to the P800 and the P900 PC Suite. If you have a P800 or P900 series phone and want to upgrade the PC Suite you shall follow the step by step instructions below for a seamless upgrade.
An upgrade to 3.0.0 from an earlier PC Suite will cause a so called "Full synchronisation". This may cause duplicates of Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Jotter and Email at the first synchronisation after the installation. To avoid duplicates the following steps should be followed:
1. Synchronise your P800/P900 with your current version of PC Suite just before upgrading to 3.0.0 PC Suite.
2. Remember what settings you have in "Sync Station Settings" for Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes and email (the new PC Suite requires new user settings to be made).
3. Install the new Sony Ericsson PC Suite version 3.0.0.
4. Make a backup of your phone (Memory Stick not necessary to backup).
5. This step is ONLY needed if you are using email synchronisation - Go to your Mobile phone in "Control Panel" | "Connections" | "Messaging accounts" and look for email accounts starting with "PC ..." and delete those. If you are synchronising the phone with several computers make sure you delete the right account, the text after "PC " indicates which computer the account belongs to.
6. Enter into "Sync Station Settings" on the PC and make the settings you want to have.
7. Enter into the 3rd tab called "Full synchronisation" and select the "Force full synchronisation", also select "Keep all items in computer and override items in phone".
8. Exit by pressing "OK".
9. Synchronise the phone.
10. If you don't want to keep the setting "Keep all items in computer and override items in phone" permanently go in "Sync Station Settings" and change this setting and press "OK".
11. Check that you have the right content in your applications in your phone.

Hello guys. Yesterday I got my P800. I download the new version of pc suite, 3.0.0 , but on SE site there's still available the 2.4.1 version.
Should I install this new version or should I install the old one?

Installed German Suite 3.0.0 today and followed all the steps as suggested by SE. Synched contacts, tasks and notes successfully, but calendar synching doesn't work: non-text-error message pops up and message window "Synchronisation failed".
I assume this is due to the changed db format (which I still hope solves the problem of not synching entries changed on the P900 back to the PC). Any idea how to get ?

I have never got calender sync to work. Never been that bothered though so didnt bother to find out why?
