Newby here, Hello everyone

Just a quick question that you have probably answered hundreds of time before but I couldn't find on the search engine, do these run together well ? I have seen a few on Ebay for around £30. Now I wouldn't use it much apart from the odd journey in the car so is this a good match ? Could go for the Jabra BT250 but don't really want to spend more than £30 on a headset TBH. Any other BT headsets I should consider ?

Also been reading something about not being able to use an MP3 as a ringtone if the phone is from Vodafone ?

I last question where can I get the firmware updated on the phone as I have heard the standard firmware has bad battery saving ?

Ivan

I use the Jabra BT200 with the K700i and it works very well indeed. The only differnece between the BT200 and BT250 is the battery life, the BT250 has a longer standby/talktime.
Don't think you cna use MP3 files as ring tones on the Vodafone branded K700i You can on the Orange branded one though

Thought id revive this thread as it seems to be a good place to ask re K700i and Jabra 250. I had my Jabra 250 working great with my T610 but I cannot get the K700i to work with it. I can pair the phone and headset no problem, but I cannot get the phone to make a call and the call get transferred to the jabra. I want to set up voice dialling but despite having bluetooth switched on, and the k700i being connected to the headset via btooth, I dont hear anything at all throught he headset - no beep to record my voice tag at, no beeps when i turn the jabra on and off etc. And if i try and turn bluetooth off on the k700i when ive had enough of all the faffing about thek700i tells me that bluetooth is busy! Its not until I turn the Jabra250 off that bluetooth settles down on the k700i! Arrrrghhhh - im pulling my hair out here - it worked so well with the t610. Anyone got the 2 things working - and if so, what am i doing wrong?

Thanks in advance
Michelle.

I sometimes find that the K700i needs rebooting before using the BT200 headset. I think it's a problem with the phones bluetooth, not the headset as the BT200 worked fine with my P800 phone.
When the BT200 connects to the K700 you should get the headset icon in the display, this stays there all the time the pair are within range. If you're not getting this icon I suggest you repair them.

Mark - the headset icon IS there all the time. The way it worked with my t610 is I would dial a number using the keypad (or do the voice activation thing) and i would hear a beep in my ear from the jabra, and the call would be in my ear. I have not managed to do that so far with the k700i. I want to record voice tags but i cant get the headset to be active to do this - despite the headset icon displaying.

Atlis - glad yours is working - how did you record voice tags via the headset please?

Thanks
Michelle

...well after extensive testing on both my t610 and the k700i ive come to the conclusion that the jabra 250 is now faulty. I did work, but it doenst anymore! Ive not used the jabra since returning from holiday so i charged it fully before trying to pair it with the k700i. It paired no problem, the k700i detects when the jabra is in range and switches to handsfree profile, when I press the button on the jabra the phone askes me to say the name after the tone etc.... but the problem is there is no tone any longer - not even for switching the jabra on and off (there used to be ascending and decending tones). So I rang the place I bought it (fonejunkie.com) and they suggested I send it back. If they find no sound coming from the jabra they are going to replace it for me.

Phew - lets hope they find the same problem as Ive been finding!

Cheers...Michelle
