> Repeated SMS problem

Hi guys,
I have a problem, I keep getting the same SMS message every time I turn my P900 phone on or go into messages. I first got it on a previous phone (Sharp GX-10 if it helps, and I didnt have the same problem there), and whenever the same SIM card is the P900 I get the message.
Its from a good friend of mine, so I know for a fact its not someone repeatedly sending the same message (and its been going on for about 3 weeks now as well, since I got the phone).
Also, the date and time of the SMS change each time as if it was just sent. I dont know what to do about it, and its really annoying, because it just keeps popping up on the bottom of the screen (the full message, not just a message icon). Also, it doesnt get saved in my SMS folder, it just pops up, then disappears...
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Probably the service provider is messing up with your phone? ... Since you say it pops up and does not look like a real SMS .. What does the message say?

Its either an OBEX push message (via bluetooth) or a network error repeatedly sending you a flash sms, which just pops up on your screen. Firstly, make sure your bluetooth is switched off, as your friend may be having a laugh at your expense. If that doesnt fix it, talk to your network provider and tell them you keep receiving a flash sms.
It is also possible that someone is using a special program to send you these flash sms messages; if this is the case theres very little you can do apart from changing your number....

Cool, thanks for the help..
Its definitely not a BT push message, as the guy who originally sent it to me (and from which it says the message is from every time) is in a different city at the moment, and he's a good friend of mine, who im sure wouldnt do such a thing.
Ill contact vodafone as soon as I have some time, and start complaining, and hopefully they'll be able to do something about it.
Thanks again
