> Help me out, questions about SE k500

Hey, I've decided to buy myself a new phone, and I was wondering if you could help me by answering some questions:
1. Does the K500 have downloadable themes? Are K700 themes compatible with k500?
2. Is it true it doesn't have Bluetooth?
3. What're the differences between K500 and K700
4. Does it have polyphonic, mp3 ringtones?
5. Which do you recommend, Motorola e398 or SE K500?
6. Are any K500 users happy with there phone?
It would be great if you could help me out! Thanks for everthing!

3. k500: less memory, no bluetooth, different design, less expensive finish, smaller screen, no fm radio, probably half the price. Have a look at the SE website if you want details. Or use the compare function of this site.
4. yes
5. Depends entirely on your wishes; different looks; Motorola has this memory-card that might be important if you want to use the phone as mp3-player.
6. You can't buy it yet, at least not here.

I'm sure that they don't work on the K500 phone since the k500 has a smaller screen res than the k700

How you should have thought:
The K500 screen resolution is 128x160
The K700 screen resolution is 176x220
The images used in themes are not vector based but pixel based
Therefore themes of the k700 can't be used on the k500.
BUT:
The T610 screen resolution is 128x160
Therefore T610 themes
MIGHT be usable on the K500
IF all images used for T610 themes are of the same dimensions.

I use the K500 and i have to say i love it. it think it is one of the best phones I have ever used. it is a pity about the lack of Bluetooth, but if you can live with out it you will not be disappointed. it is one of the fastest phones i have ever used. the verison i have is a prototype but i have flashed it to the latest firmware.
The games do run faster on this phone compared to the K700, but that is mainly due to the fact it has a lower res screen. (think pc games, the lower the Res, the Faster the game runs)

i have done it myself
however k500i themes on a k700i work but the theme pic is a lot smaller

themes - agree with teslaguy - I tried K700 themes and yes they do work - but not 100% and the phone locked up white screen - never occurred since clearing off k700 themes
beware vodafone - Ive seen threads suggesting voda disable MP3 function - although I have found Orange disable shortcuts
Why bother customising in this destructive manner???
