you will all soon find out what an extremely poor development have the SE made with this phone

lacking firmware is a big issue with SE. Probably they should also join up with Microsoft, like SEM to make good software programs on good phones with good cameras.
the polling (pull the messages out of the server, or refresh you might call it) of this nice phone is around 12-13 minutes !!!
which means that each time a friend sends you a message on yahoo (and msn when it will be enabled) you have to wait around 12 minutes to get it! ... most of the times this is too late.
this is a great (HUGE) disadvantage of SE phones over Nokias (3-4 minutes polling) and Motorola (which has a 30 seconds polling!). probably implemented because
some UK (stupid!) users were not knowing that this service uses WAP / GPRS connection for which you have to pay, so in order to avoid law suits from (STUPID UK) people, they put the polling to 12 minutes.
As Motorolas (sold in US more) and Nokias (sold in EU - UK more) are sold more on different markets they have adapted the polling time.
I wish they could make an option so that one could have changed the polling time, just like the polling time for e-mails can be changed (with relatively a few options, but at least it can be changed).
More unfortunately, the push-system on k700i is not endorsed by yamingo's server, so they cannot actually push the messages into the phone. So basically, my friends is
not an IM (
instant messager), but more like a way to send SMSs through WAP.

This sucks.
My operator rounds all wap traffic of any session up to the nearest 10kb. With 12 min polling interval at about 1kb per poll this is the same as having a single session polling 1 kb per minute.
Also, as I understand, other phones (Motorola and Nokia) use internet(not WAP) gateways, which is wise enough taking in account that WAP traffic is usually twice as expensive.

I was counting the majority of people, which is stupid. Just take a look on the forum here and see for yourself.
The difference between Uk and Americans is not in intelligence (both are stupid) but Americans have more money, and spend it without much care, so such restriction measures need not be applied.
Anyway, people from SE should have at least made a switch for this. They made one for the e-mail client. Why not for the messenger client?
