> K700i infrared part

Hi everyone,
For those using the K700i, is your infrared part at the top stable and not moving, because mine seems to be a bit off its place, its like sticking out a little and it goes down when I push it??? (I doubt its gonna fall off though)

In place & very solid here.
If u feel up to it you could take the phone apart to try & find the problem, maybe it's just not fitted properly or needs a touch of glue

its much more better if you go now..service points like it much more, and it easier for them to take it on waranty if you as fast as you can.

I swear there's something wrong with the k700 were they just prototypes that are paving the way for the s700s? They all seem to have some sort of manufacturing problems ranging from different LED keypad lights...#2 key getting stuck...wonky battery cover and the rubber pads coming off...loose charger port cover...and now loose infrared port?! Are there other problems out there??

It seems to me that there are 2 sides to this issue. Yes, you are right in that K700i definitely has some mistakes with the rubber bands, #2 key and the bottom cover (and mine has a loose IR port!), and we all know about the firmware issues, and of course, the short battery life. But on the other hand, I have never seen a phone perfect myself, and I doubt the S700 will be free of problems. My old T610, which was chosen the best phone of the previous year by GSM, had a loose top part, the joystick became so hard to move after some time that you actually had to use force to make it work, and it used to turn off by itself sometimes. But still, it was the best phone I ever used. The reason that we look at K700i as a problematic phone is because we were expecting so much from it that we thought it would be perfect. Also, a lot of people have individual problems, like my loose IR part, but when we read about them, we always generalize it to all K700i's. And, for example, the call delay lateness also existed in T68i, but we see some problems that the other phones have as though they were unique to the K700i. That's because we look at K700i not actually to be happy with the good parts but to create new problems. And with all these, the problems get exaggerated. Of course, SE is still to blame for they could do a better work, with both less firmware and hardware mistakes. But looking at other brands' phones, I can pretty much say that K700i is better than most of them.
So, though I'm still a bit disappointed with the K700i's mistakes, it is overall a great phone, and I think I'll get used to it in time, while SE (I hope) works to improve it and lessen its mistakes.

I took the phone to a tech servive today, and they said that the looseness was no problem, they showed me other K700i and it had the same looseness, so, I think there is no serious problem, at least for now.
