> K700i as remote control?

I have successfully sync'd my K700i to my desktop via bluetooth (way easier then with my previous T68i!!) but I cannot get the remote control feature to work? Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

i got mine to work to its hotu can use destop presentater and media player but u can make the mouse speed go fast but its good i connected over bluetooth to its the only way u cant connect over ir orsync station

Have you installed the "Keyboard & Muose Bluetooth drivers"? Does your adapter support this virtual devices? Has you enabled this functionality on the list of services for your BT adapter?

I successfully got this working this morning.
Have you downloaded the latest set of Bluetooth drivers from your PC vendor?
I had to do this and the BT HID component became visible in my Control Panel under Wireless Network settings. It's the HID element that is crucial to getting the remote control feature to work.
Note that after upgrading to Windows XP SP2, you get a separate Bluetooth Devices icon in the Control Panel.

I can't seem to find the new BT drivers. I know at the moment I run the Widcomm driver 1.4.2.8 but I can't seem to find the new drivers?
Does anyone know a link I can find this from?

What make / model is your laptop?
Have you searched the manufacturer's website or drivers / downloads? Have you tried contacting their technical support staff?

What make is the Bluetooth dongle? I knwo you said the driver was Widcomm...but I have an MSI BT Dongle and i think it says it is Widcomm, is yours MSI?(I may not be right about the whole driver thing...) If you have downloaded and installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, there is a new driver for it on the website below. Also, SP 2 has a new Bluetooth manager. Start>Control Panel>Bluetooth Configuration. Make sure you ahve it set so that other devices can discover and so forth. Also, if there is a little 'B'(the bluetooth symbol) at the bottom right corner of your screen, you can right click on it and it is very helpful for pairing new devices and setting up new services.
