> Strange "blip" on the T610
Bookmark topic
My Sony Ericsson T610 was only a week old and i had this strange "blip" on my handset.
I remember my battery symbol was showing empty while i was in the middle of managing/editing a contact in my phone book and it just suddently "froze" and nothing would respond including when i tried to switch the phone off using the on/off button.
Eventually they only way i could switch off was by removing the battery, but after replacing it and trying to switch the handset on, it wouldnt switch on again.
When i connected the charger, the screen didnt light up and the "charging" symbol didnt appear on the screen, yet the red light on the joystick was on.
I started to panic on what could had happen but after 5 mins eventually the screen light lit up and it started to charge again.
From now on i do make sure that i am not doing any sort of activity and using any applications while my battery displays empty, as i dont want that to happen again.
Could only explain what could have possibly caused that?
Thanks.

Mostly its the fw, go to se and ask for an upgrade. But it could be the fone itself aswell. The best solution is a visit in the service.

The fw? How do i find that out on my handset?
I do have a Ericsson Service Center near-ish to me, but as i brought it with a (online) contact with Orange and have Orange care, so do i need to approach them first if this problem happens again?
I know that I also have a 12 year warranty with Sony Ericsson as well.

It happened once and never happened again. Although i nowadays never let the battery run down to empty before charging.

It could be that the batt and the fone should ' get used ' to each other, maybe that cause the bug in the first times.

Well its not happen since then as well, but i let my battery run down till it switches off automatically then charge it.
Is it ok to put your phone on charge while there is still some battery life left and it is still switched on? Wouldnt that affect the overall battery life?

Found how to get the SW Firmware version by searching the Esato forum!
My SW information as as follows:
R4C003 prgCXC12-5566.EU.2
R4C003 prgCXC12-5662.TAE
LCD SW Versions:
Test: 782074
Current: 200308060
Camera SW Versions:
Test: 0
Current: 200308273
Customization MS:
CDA102222/18 R28A
Customization TAE:
CDA102222/18 R28A
ITP Version R1B005
prgCXC125560_TP
So now i have a few questions regarding it.
How "new" is my SE T610 fw, and would it good idea to upgrade it in a SE service center as some of the Esato members advised to or leave it as it is as no futher problems have occured with the handset.
How would this upgrade have an overall effect on my handset (would i see any difference on the applications?!) and would i lose anything from the result of the upgrade?
