Have any of you guys had any luck turning off the annoying camera shutter sound with the new firmware (R2L)?
Before I upgraded the phone I could turn it off by selecting the "Meeting" profile, but now I'm stuck with this annoyinh *KRRRRRTCHACK!* sound no matter what I do.
I hope they remedy this in the upcoming firmwares...

I have the R2L firmware, and if you put the phone into silent mode, then no sound comes from the shutter mode, so the issue is fixed in R2L.

I think depends on where you live...
HK's R2J and R2L can't turn off the shutter sound

Yes may be, because I didn't update the firware, the K700i came to Turkey already with the R2L firmware installed.

me too is very PissedOFF because of that sound.. and i guess there is still no cure..
P.S WE all know WHY they build a camera in to mobile phone HE..

ChE, I had kinda the same problem after upgrading to R2L.
When turning on camera it went back to main display after 1 second.
Also animation stopped in the middle of a gif animation.
I went back to the service point and complained. They tried a master reset. Reburning the software a few times (Also older versions). No luck!
So they sent the phone to SE and after a week I got a new K700. It had version R2A so they had to upgrade it to R2L.
Upgrade now went OK. So now I have a new phone. All seems fine now.
