> Very very strange issue with a t68i

For about 2-3 weeks now my phone was giving me the creeps... goes like this: i power it up, make a phone call. After 1 or 2 minutes, 4 at most, the call drops. If i call again, it would get stuck at "connecting Name" The only solution was to take out the battery. Also, if i was making a short call, ending it myself, the phone was still bugged since people complained they can't call me. Eventually I did a master reset with no luck. I opened it, cleaned all the dust

no luck. So I was sure the phone is dead...some serious hw failure...I do want to get a T630 but not so soon..no money. Anyway, 30 minutes ago I have a look in the gsm networks menu and I notice that under prefered nets i have 2 networks, my own, and the one of a friend. 3 weeks ago he had a dead battery and used my phone to make a call....I delete the network, restart the phone, make several calls, receive a few others, it seems to work fine now. 0_o

Well, if its ok now, probably the batt caused some problems. Batts could do effect strange things in the fw aswell.

Some 'suggestive' solutions here mate: Flash the fone, Upgrade the software/firmware . . . and YES, the battery might just be the culprit here dude? Good Luck!

No, I put a different operator SIM in mine just for a call, nothing to do with batteries.

@flavius - So, did the changing of sim cards solved the problem mate? If not, it's definitely the fone that has a problemo here, you've just discounted the performance of the batt that's why !

Well i guess my initial story wasnt clear enough.
Here is how it went in chronological order:
1. a friend of mine needs my phone to make a call because his phone (not SE if that matters) had no power left. He is on a different operator and my phone has power and is unlocked. So i stick his SIM in my T68 and he makes the call.
2. i put back my SIM bla bla
3. i notice that my calls drop after just 1 or 2 minutes, and after that I can't make calls (phone freezes when displaying "connecting..." ) and i cant receive calls either. All I can do is to take the batt out and restart it, then again it works I can receive calls and do just one short call etc etc
4. i do a reset, i clean it, i curse it, same problem so i think the phone is dead and im ready to toss it to the garbage, when...
5. i notice that under preferred nets besides my own operator i have the operator from that SIM i used once. I delete that, restart the phone and all is fine now.
