well, what happened here was this: I took it out of the box. it wouldn't turn on. "ah" me thinks... "the battery is not charged". I charge it, but unlike my T600 (RIP) it doesn't DO anything when it's plugged in... it just sits there. Looking distracted. And bored. So i try to liven things up for it... for one, I wonder if the battery is crap, so I pulls it out, and sure enough, when plugged in, the LED GOES ON! (but dimly), and then when I press the NO / On button it turns OFF! Doh. If i just pull the battery out, and insert it, nothing happens. If I try again, unplug, replug, and insert the battery Shirley enough, the LED goes dim first then is a solid red. A handsom, confident red. A red only to be smited thereafter by an impotent No / on button. Out it goes, until I can pull the battery out, unplug the charger and then RE-plug it in, battery re-inserted.

Right. So I posted this comment earlier under the topic T69! (Woops!) So I thought I'd ask again. Any help you can give would be *grand*. Thank you.

peter

Put battery in phone. Connect to charger and plug in to mains. Switch on mains. Go and do something else for 12 hours. This message was posted from a T68i

I guess you're using the wrong charger maybe you're using a T610/30 charger.. try the original T68i charger

yes happened to a t68m, that i bought for my grandmother. i thought it was broken, but after leaving it in the chargerfor 20 minutes, it came on and started charging finally. even the ericsson manuals says that it can take up to 30 min to start charging.

surley the wrong charger wouldn't make a difference, i used my t68i charger on both my t610 and k700. To much effort to get behind bed sidetable to unplug it

K, so I plugged the charger in (which, coincidentally is exactly the same for the T600 -- it's the Sony Standard Charger -- ST-13) and will wait 15 minutes, but I *seriously* doubt it will make a difference, I think I've tried this before.. I'll let you know what happens though..

Weird. All chargers since abouth etime of the T28 have used the same type of charger. My T68i came with a CST13 the same as my T610 and P800.
