> K700i - best phone since T68i?

Hi people,
Putting aside the smart phones (P800, P900 etc) for a moment, I'd like to say that I think the K700i is by far the best phone SE have produced and that I have owned.
I've carried a mobile for around 10 years now, was always a Nokia boy until the T68 came out which I purchased on impulse but never really took to until I later purchased the T68i.
I then made the move to the T610 which I never liked, in particular the dreadfully quiet ringtones and the forced increasing ring volume that resulted in many a missed call.
In fact when I purchased the K700i a couple of months ago it was the T610 that ended up on eBay and I still have the T68i as my spare phone.
So back to the K700i. It's an absolute delight. I really think that SE have almost cracked it here, let's just see the next version with a 1 megapixel camera, Memory Stick Duo slot and of course improved battery life and I'll be a happy camper.
Just successfully upgraded the firmware to R2L001 (see my other post for my opinion of the CW in this regard).
And this morning I've been playing around with the remote control feature on my Sony Vaio, after a bit of fiddling with the BT driver and Windows XP Service Pack 2 it works perfectly!!
It's just brilliant to be controlling everything on my computer with my mobile phone, big thumbs-up to SE for that feature.
Anyway enough for now, would be interested to hear anyone's thoughts / comments.

i would have to disagree with your views on the t610 though. Althought the t68i was a very good phone, the t610 had a better quality + bigger screen and java + mophun. Also with vibro alert, tone volume didn't matter a huge deal as you could feel it when in your trousers, and hear the tone when on a table.

I quite agree with @apj30s thoughts back there . . . The SE T310, T610, T230 and the T630 looks like all just but the same - for me! There was a major transformation made from the SE T68i to the latest of which is the SE K700/i mates!

I think its not possible to compare a predecessor to the newer generation. So i disagree that the k700i is *the* phone since T68i since it isn't really a break through. However if this was about the s700 then i'd say definately!

the one thing about the t68i is that man when it came out. now remember we dont know what a k700i is or a vga camera or a smartphone is but anyway the t68i shot up in market it had a good shape nice screen the first color sreen beside t68 t68m ect but it was the hottes then if u looked at it was smaller than thoes R2 b/w phones the keys caught me it had the best desin in every feature i guess when u think about it most ppl came in when t68i was released but alot of ppl came in when the r2 phones where released but to say over all the k700i had the same effect it shot up when it was relesed but 1 thing i like is complex phone is that is everything in 1 vga camera radio mp3 player videoplayer 3gp recoder GPRS modem buetooth ir but it is all bad because the more complex then phone has more chances of there being a mistake/bug for example when u look at a credit card its all ones and zeros 10101011011101001 and every 5-10 lines there is a mistake so if it is a mistake then the feature/application cant run or operate properly so is all good untill it gets complex
i sugess
check there phones before relese so ppl dont have to pay alot of money for a mistake but
still the best

New features really count for the 'new' generation, for old bikers its just a development imho, nothing special.
