Ive been searching for the last month to find a good phone to upgrade to (currently have a T610), and more than likely swap to a new tarrif. Im currently with Vodafone on their 200 mins + 50 sms thing. Its not quite enough for my useage so I want something more suitable (more sms ideally and more mins if poss). Ive come across '3' but not being that interested in video on my mobile ive not looked at it before now. It seems however their tariffs are very competitive - Talk & Text 600 for example - 500 mins of talk, 100 sms for £30 a month. This is great, but I want a decent phone - and I dont like the look of any 3G phones apart from the SE Z1010 which is taking far too long to hit the shops. My question therefore is, can you use a non 3G phone with a '3' tariff? I'd be interested in getting a K700i on a decent tariff otherwise. Does anyone here use '3' and have any experience of it re coverage - the coverage maps just say everywhere works, but i'd like to know of ppl in the UK who are using '3' and how they find it.
Any input would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
Michelle.

Thanks Slattery - I was with Orange for many years and thought they were great, but the signal strenght inside my house was totally useless. So unless they have improved significantly in the past 12 months, I cant really justify going back with them - no matter if they have good tariffs. However - 3 might be just as bad! I have heard that 02 are very good - and Vodafone of course works everwhere... too much choice is the problem here I think!

Depends when you want to use the phone i suppose. I do think the current o2 online off peak 300xnet, 500 text and half meg free wap is good for 15 sim only or 20 with k700 free. You have to watch o2 customer care though. It is truly awful and they are beyond complacent it's unreal. Some things never change (do they bt?) even when a company demerger.
