thats no great loss IMHO. I've never had a successful update from them and there have been a couple of threads that I have been involved in, including this one that have had similar experiences

I can thoroughly recommend Yendell in addlestone surrey just off the M25 who I will be visiting this friday again

cellular and audio service have in fact ceased working with sonyericsson and customers will no longer be directed there by sonyericsson.

I was speaking to another service centre yesterday who informed me that all UK service centres will cease to do firmware updates after the end of this month because will no longer pay them for that service

Instead, people will be directed to "flash points" or some similar named site but he said they also wouldn't be paid by so he doesn't know if there will be many

customer service yesterday afternoon never heard about it (not surprisingly) but this is the second service centre to tell me something similar so I wonder what the truth in this story is?

perhaps we might finally get a valid firmware update - downloadable from the net - in exactly the same way that Siemens do. By the way - after 2 weeks got my O2 branded K700i back from O2 (after a failed flash to R2L at Cellular Services Brighton) and it is...strange.

i didnt think they had done anything as the software shows the following :- not the R2L001 customisation at the end - what does this mean??

R2A041
prgCXC125821_EU_1_C

LCD SW versions
Main display
Current:200406041

Camer SW versions
Camera
Current: 3.9
ITP SW version
CXC 125 813 R1S

Customization
CDA102298/17 R25A
cxc125822 R2L001
EU_2

As far as I can see - its still the same software - with the same issues - what on earth is R2L001 customization??!
