download the Sony Ericsson File Manager 2.5.2.0b from the applications page of the K700i support page

this works like windows explorer so you can just drag and drop files both ways

Yes, I have read up about it and should work, not sure weather the driver disks will be different though? can anyone shed some light on that?

Cheers

yes it will work and drivers are the same

propably should add though - that a Bluetooth dongle is 4-5 times faster than both cable (dcu-11) and irda

He is absolutely correct in this thing.
I used to use my IR port on my laptop but it was so slow, so I bought a DCU-11 but to my great disappointment it was the same crap so I bought a Bluetooth dongle and it is much, much faster.

yes absolutely true

the reason for this is that S//E does not use the USB speed with their USB cable - for some strange reason that I have not figured out they chose to use a serielemulation driver - this means it wont exceed the normal max seriel speed of 115.000bps - which is sloooooooow

with BT you get 24KB/s transferspeed on the K700 - or in praksis about 4-5 times faster than using irda or cable
