Im on Voda and I pay something like £2.35 for 1mb of GPRS - quite costly now that PUSH 2 TALK is available anyone know of cost on other PAYASUGO providers

That's only for phones that can use proxies though. Shouldn't even cost you a penny to connect. O2 do a 5mb bolt on for 4 quid, that's pretty reasonable. This message was posted from a Z600

Yes it does need a phone that can use different Proxy Setup e.g. P-Series, K/S700.

I use it through a computer and it doesn't take a penny each connection. I get the odd penny lost every other week though. It might be the way your phone connects or something? This message was posted from a Z600

Perhaps. I just noticed my balance seemed to be randomly losing 1p several times a day & I thought it was SMS related but O2 told me it is for connecting to the internet.
Now I just leave GPRS permanently connected
