> What if SE released a PXXX without cam?

I don't know if this subject as already been discussed, but what if?
In my opinion, for me it would be great cuz I don't need the cam at all.
Ok, sometimes may have some use but for real pictures I have a real camera.
I think SE should release another PXXX without cam. It would be great cause the wheight of the phone will be less, or at least it would be possible to extend the memory and/or another component.

I don't think they will as the popularity of the camera phones in huge. Even some of the low end phones have started coming out with a camera!!

Other people who don't want the camera can simply choose not to use it
I wonder if removing the camera would make noticeable difference in weight though?

masseur is correct, as stated before SE could expand memory or knock off a few $$$ for the components not used. A couple of compnaies are releasing two versions of phones one with camera the other without for the business customers.

imaging is one of there 3 priority things in phones.
personally i would call it quit dumb 2.
also it wouldn't save that much money. VGA cames our getting cheaper.

Very true, companies like HP and the XDA are bring out two models, Some spec's one with cam and one without for place where you are no aloud to have camera's.
Personally for me I would prefer to buy a PXXX without the cam, the phone would be so much more smaller. Hay you looked inside of one, the cam sticks out heaps! Look at some of the PDA's without cam's they are SO SKINNY!

well i hope they do something like that, nokia did it with 9300 and i'm extremely happy with that, i know a lot and i mean a lot of people that don't use their cameras on their p900/800 mobiles, including me

well the p series is for business users mostly. and sometimes a camera is a very important part of a business phone....as much as it is sometimes for a casual phone...but im sure in the near future SE will be coming out will a p series phone that will be much lighter and compact!
