i notice that when my phone is set on "normal profile" and it later goes into the screensaver mode, afterwards it randomly turns on the backlight, dunno if i'm making myself explainable but does anyone else have this problem and if so, why does it happen??

Does it on the T630 too.
I really don't think it's anything to worry about

Are you talking when it goes to the screensaver or while it's on the screen saver?
If the screen saver is already on I noticed this when I've had a meesage in my outbox that I'd hadn't/wouldn't send.

This may be because signal handover might have happened and that the phone is registering it. You know from one tower to another.

I'm quite lucky for not experiencing this 'hulabaloos' with my SE K700i fone . . .and I haven't upgraded my firmware at that, still the stock - R2A...one being used!

That also happens on my k700. It goes to the screensaver mode and then it lights up the screen but that only happens once and then then screen goes blank. It only goes back on when you touch one of the keys.

I also experienced this problem once, it really spooked me because I was already half-asleep when the backlight suddenly turned on and there was no incoming call or message. I think it is some sort of reminder when you left the phone in the middle of an unfinished business. I now leave the phone always in the main screen and the backlight doesn't turn on anymore while on standby.
