hey ppl i know this is not the right place to talk about siemens n nokia but still i want to know whether the softwares n applications available for nokia 6600 can b downloaded in siemens sx1 ???? coz both r symbian phones ????? anybody there has used these phones ??? which one is better (i know sx1 has wierd keypad....any drawback other than that ?) can n6600 softwares n applications b downloaded in sx1 ????

The only thing worse about the SX1 is the keypad. In every other department it is equal to or better than the 6600. Software should work on either phone

Nokia 6600 and Siemens SX1 are both series60 phones. Applications for 6600 can also run in SX1. The advantage of 6600 is that it has bigger internal memory, if i'm not mistaken 6MB compared to 4MB for SX1. However, SX1 has radio and the camera has 4xZoom compared to 2x in 6600. MP3player can be downloaded in 6600. So, both of them can play MP3.

as i was reading this topic, i was really laughing because some peeps here didn't know what they're talking, i have been also trying to post a topic that compares 6600 and sx1 and after learning facts and figures about these phones, i find SX1 as a sure winner if it isn't for the keypad...Siemens sx1 has greater in-built memory than 6600, it has 24mb which is expandable up to 512mb via mmc while 6600 i guess has around 6mb...sx1 has video recorder that records video alone for 5 mins and if audio is incorporated it will record up to 1 min duration--which is way better than 6600, though you can download an application for both that records video with audio limited to the memory since they're both symbian series 60...And it's true that sx1 has a built in radio, built in natural loud speaker, mp3 player...sx1 is more expensive( 6600-18,500 PESOS; SX1-21,000 PES0S) than the 6600 here in our country, but sx1 comes with data cable while 6600 doesn't...I find sx1 more hi-tech and good looking than 6600...
