Hello everyone,

I'm new here (from Australia) as you can see by my post count. My previous phone was a Pantech G500 and it was a really nice phone especially with the dual 260k screens. Just bought a K700i and I've got to say its pretty much an ideal phone for, except for the lack of an expansion slot. Its pretty much got everything I need and more and its amazing how small and compact the phone is.

Now to my question. I know that a lot of phones don't allow you to mute the sound when you take the picture. I know this is because of perverts who like to secretly take pictures of people. Is this true also for the K700? I've yet to find a way to mute the sound. Is it possible?

welcome to Esato!

silent mode doesn't do it on K700, the sound is linked to the ringtone volume so either turn the ringtone volume right down or choose meeting profile (which already has the ringtone volume at 0) before taking pics

I thought that only works on some K700s? Was the confusion ever sorted out as to which work with silent, which need meeting profile etc?

Depends on the firmware with the R2A041 firmware it was possible to mute that sound by setting the profile on meeting or set the ringtone volume to 0, but with R2L001 this doesn't work anymore.
