Hi
I have been on vodafone(in the UK) for a few years now. lately i used the P800 and now a T610. I have found out that every now and then, when the signal goes week, my phone(P800/T610) loses vodafone coverage, and when the signal is ok again, goes into SOS mode. i have to turn off the phone and turn it back again.
is this a problem with SE phones, is there a solution to this problem?

It's not a problem. Your phone is correctly logging on to a non-roaming network.

They should only go to SOS Calls only when your Network cannot provide any coverage but others can.
You can't access Vodafone but all Networks allow any access for Emergency calls
