S700 for me out of those two. It has bigger & better screen, lots more memory and a WAY better camera.
The Z1010s only advantage is 3G capability

forget 4g for quite a while. its at leat 6-10 years away. just look how slow its been for the current 3g operators to get it going after spending all that money 2 or 3 years ago. They are not going to be hasty to pay more licence money for the next generation.
I have a feeling that wifi in some form is going to become a larger factor in telephony as more hot spots are added around the world, unless of course governments realise that they can start charging licence fees for that frequency range too!

If you are looking for a good 3g phone, then look no further than an LG! Ive got the 8110, its a very good phone. Only problem is no bluetooth, and only 14mb memory. The 8120 has got more memory but stilkl no bluetooth.

Wouldn't WiFi require vast battery life unless it can be made with lower consumption or batteries will fantastic capacity

well, BT now has the standard of sniffer mode which saves battery consumption and the P910 supports that. I'm not sure if WiFi has incorporated such a standard but I don't see why it couldn't

But doesn't actually using WiFi use a lot of power? It seems to kill laptops pretty quickly
