> What's up with the K700i battery meter? HELP!
Bookmark topic
I searched the archives here and thought that it was strange I didn't find anything. I hope that I am not the only one with this problem.
When I charge my K700i, I do not see anywhere the battery meter filling up. As you know when you don't use the phone, the display goes completely dark in stand-by mode. However, the phone manual says that during charging, you should see the battery meter filling up.
That doesn't happen on my phone. I basically have to push a button periodically to check when the battery meter is full and then I unplug the charger. But I never see any animated meter or confirmations that the charging process is complete. Last night I waited for about 5 hours until I unpluged the charger - of course the meter was full, but before that I again did not get any way of knowing that the process is done. Weird....my T300 went into the clock (stand by) mode when charging was complete and was so easy to tell when you can unplug.
I have the R2E Hong Kong firmware on my K700i, otherwise everything else is in English, as I live in the States. Can anyone, PLEASE, tell me what's going on?
Thank you for your time.

I did some more digging and came to the conclusion that the only logical explanation for my not seeing anything on my screen during recharging is because the screen gets turned off.
Is there such thing? I guess I kinda like this function and will get used to it because it preserves your battery, but at the same time is there a way to change the standby display to showing the clock (as in T300)?
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!

Upgradin' doesnt always solve a problem, knowledge does: the book meant u can see the battery meter chargin only if the phone is OFF!ONLY THEN. If it's on,then u have2check it and i find that logical. Try it and ull see. So lighten up,there's nuthin' wrong.
