Define update. You can do a fw upgrade. But i think what you mean is to have wap2.0 or a 65k screen. Sorry then too the answer is no for wap but for screen i dont know.

Interesting question.
Even though the 230 is a low end phone I'm pretty certain the soft ware is upgradable. I'd bu surpised if it is otherwise.

The 230 is udatable software wise.
The latest SW is R4a014.
Pop in to a SP and they'll do it for you.
