> predictive text gone missing

on my k700i my predicitve text has gone missing, phone is 2 days old. holding down * key nothing happens, but if i tap the key i do cjange between upper and lower case.
Any ideas?

I dont know exactly how to get it back as I dont have a K700 but usually you havee to select what T9 language that you want. Try pressing the menu button while in the text extry page and have a look ther.

I have a k700i (FW upgr from R2A to R2L) and my T9 works perfect!
When I press * for ~2 sec , T9 turns on/off.
Try pressing the soft key 'more',for example when you write a new msg,then from that menu go to 'Dictionary(T9)',and there you should have on/off options.Choose 'on' ,and go back writing msg(now the T9 must be activated). If this also doesn't work I give up,but even so,it's very strange that you can't turn it on/off from *

If it didn't, whilst in write text message mode, hit the 'more' button, scroll down to 'writing language' (about 5th one down), and select 'English'. If it's on 'standard abc' then the t9 is turned off. Selecting English turns it back on.
