> advice on Z200 or Z600 models, ringtone options

I looked around, but I've seen a lot of incomplete answers to the questions I have, so I apologize if this topic has been brought up before.
I'm looking for a phone that will allow me to compose my own ringtones (anything I want, not just cutting and pasting preset samples) either on the phone itself, or on computer. I came across the Z200 and Z600 models, which looked pretty good for what I need, but I need to make sure about a few things before I invest in something like that.
does anyone have experience creating your own midi files and using them as ringtones on either of these phones? is it possible to create a midi file from scratch on the pc and upload it to the phone? if this works on both models, would you recommend one of these over the other one?
on some of the topics I read, it looks like there is a file size limit, but with midi files that is usually not an issue, and the melodies I have in mind would be pretty small. I'm also curious about the options for connecting the phone to the computer. I saw topics on IrDA, but I'll have to look into that more when I have more time.
any input on this is greatly appreciated. thanks.
