has anyone got any info on anouncements by se about new models being released (in particular a model inbetween s700 and k700). mobile-review.com under the s700 review mentions a possible anouncement on this date or poss sooner.

This is be the weirdest press release if SE really held it on Sunday.

this rumour about the september 19th conference... :-
first of all it was very lame of mobile-review in starting this rumour without checking that the day is a sunday
in the press conference on july 15th, every one at sony ericsson told me they not only didn't know anything about a presentation in september, but that they didn't even know of any project that could be unveiled in such dates. of course they wouldn't go telling me "yes, it's going to be in september and we're going to unveil bla and bla", but you know... every thing we've heard about this rumour is only the suspicious statements by mobile-review.
what is however true is that the (short) tradition of product unveilings by sony ericsson always implies three presentations every year. last year it was the t610 by the beginning of the year, then the z600, z200 and t230 in summer, and the t630 and p900 in autumn. this year it could be the s700 and k700 in the beginning, p910 and k500 in summer, and another couple of models in autumn...
THIS makes sense, but again, sony ericsson is really improving their skills in preventing info/photo leakings if this turns out to be true.
EDIT: a member of the spanish forum works at a textile company in madrid that makes all the clothing for sony ericsson events and employees, printing the logo on t-shirts and such. this guy has been told that they are going to make a lot of clothes for the coming weeks for a party or special event. makes a little more sense, doesn't it? ::)
