As a frenetic "office" software user I must say the true. Its pretty hard to deal with "real" word files in a P800. Use it only for write txt files but If u wanna insist, an "indirect" way is using "converting" software as Replygo. Have u "got it"? "

My Quickoffice doesn't even open excel files with pictures -- can't convert from "native format"!

Internal viewer, with vwrfilters should do the job. I don't know if it works without that add on, that's what I'm using.

Coming from the Palm OS platform, I think its pretty disappointing that QuickOffice hasnt developed the software that much. Dataviz has beaten them in the Palm OS category and they have a chance to make it up in to UIQ users.
I hope thay can follow Dataviz. Then the P900/P910 would truly be a great convergence device.

Well, using Word files and Excel files on a P900/800 platform is good. However, with the memory limitation on those devices and limited screen real estate it is really only usable for viewing and doing light editing on text only files in my opinion.

But the real essence of being a true convergence device is to be able to edit the damn files, imagine someone like me who makes reports of field verifications, once im in the field i can compose my report and send the file as an attachment. Mission accomplished.
I know I shouldnt be asking for laptop like editing features but if Dataviz can pull it off with their Documents to Go series why cant QuickOffice do it?
The only thing thats missing is Picture support and tables, and Docs to GO has it. I bought a P900 with a notion that I can leave behind my old Tungsten T and T68i combo. And use only one device now im stuck with a big phone (p900) and my old Tungsten T and a Folding Keyboard as my mobile editing device.
