After doing a search I have only found partioal answers to my following questions regarding t630, especially the gone/hidden away shortcuts menu
- Can you put 'select profile' in the shortcuts list?
If yes, if you put it on top, it will appear at joystick move left? And will 'write new' still appear under the right softkey?
- Can you use the number quick-jump to move through menus fast (like 4-4-2 for settings - network - select network on my current phone) on the T-630?
- When making theme's, all you can change is the look of the display, not the function of keys?
Sorry if this has been answered before which means that i should have browsed even further in the search results.
Thanks
(Background: I'm planning to buy a T630 but am a bit drawn back by the lack of shortcut customisation, the lack of phone status details etc. - all things that my current t600 has and which I use a lot e.g. when entering a meeting: pull out phone, unlock keys, option button, 3,5 et voila phone is in self-made do not disturb profile - with T630 i would have to unlock, push joystick, click right, down, down, enter, down, down, enter, down, down down, enter... yeah or use silment mode I know, it is not the same - what is the use of profiles if they are buried that deep)

You can put profiles in shortcuts so when you press left it appears (i have it like this). You can however only have one shortcut on a T630. I've never seen "write new" in the right softkey menu though

yup

Only the appearance of things.. themes don't change functionality

Thanks for your reply
I was wrong about write new indeed - the fastest way to start writing a new message with unlocked keys would be push-push-push the joystick?
(on t600 keep pushing left and voila - why am I considering to change phones in fact)

Same at t630, just keep on pushing.

4 joystick pushes to get to write new if keypad is unlocked.
There is always the trick to get the internet button on the right of the phone to go straight to write new too which makes life easy
