Hello
Is there any kind of software for the P9x0 that slows down the processors on idle (or during the night) like the software found in PalmOS? (so it improves battery time)
If not, in your oppinion what are the good practices to improve the battery time when going to travel? (besides turning off the phone at night?)
Thank you
(sorry the english)

To help with making the battery last longer turn off bluetooth and IR to start with. I woould also make sure that you dont leave any programs running on the phone. Use Sman to close all programs on the phone after you have used it. This should help draw out the time between charges.

If you just need the phone on, but not able to make or receive calls, you could activate flight mode to save a smidgen of battery life...

failing that, you could buy a replacement battery to swop with the one that came with the phone once it's depleted...

With minimal usage, you should be getting around a week or more(i got 10days once, over Christmas last year when it was hardly used at all!)

Also turn off any screensavers, and the floating clock too - just use a blank screen - though these are really puny actions to save puny amounts of power...

This is stupid. There should be some way to access the hardware layer and build a under-clocker software!
(any assembler programmers out there reading this?)
Programs like these work VERY WELL in the PalmOS operating system.
They monitor the battery and under-clock the processors and screen refresh rate as soon as a threshold is reached.
It makes sense!

I'm pretty sure the P900's processor automatically throttles down when not being used. It's pretty much the norm for all mobile processors these days.
