Hi, everytime I try to browse my phone's contents on my PC, this message always appears:

Error
Unable to connect - an unexpected error has occurred.

and the folder's contents don't show up. Sometimes they do (it's a hit-and-miss thing), but most of the time this message eventually appears:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Windows\Explorer.Exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

then the taskbar and desktop icons all disappear and I can't click on anything. What do I do? Any help is appreciated. I use the DSS-20 SyncStation with my k700i and my OS is Windows XP Pro.

The exact same thing happens to me, EXACTLY like that.

I used to have a P800, and that worked fine, with the included DSS-20 sync-station... however, i smashed up the screen, at a drunken party, so i got a K700.

However, it doesn't wanna go near the P800 sync-station. Just keeps moaning about "Unable To Connect, An Unexpected Error Occurred"

Only difference is i'm using Windows 2000 SP4, so it's not due to you using XP. Plus the SyncStation is working, since it worked for a year with my p800.

Can anyone shed any light onto this?

i had the same problem, but with a bit of brain power and 2hours later i found the answer go to this link and download the firmware upade.. problem sorted!!!!
