I am so happy yay yay yay!I'm gonna get the FW upgraded tomorrow, waht should I bring with to Carphone warehouse? will they need my sim card? and if i get the firmware upgraded, does it mean that my warranty is terminated or sumthing?cause i heard somewhere that it will be?

I think you need nothing in special, just your phone and maybe SIM-card. Better take the proof of purchase and some kind of identity card with you, just to be sure.
And I don't think you will lose your warranty. But I can imagine that you would lose it when the original firmware was branded by Orange or another company and you upgrade a firmware that isn't branded by the same company anymore.
If somebody reads this and thinks I am wrong then please inform tempsonyfreak.

Didn't your dad got a receipt when he picked it up ? I mean a piece of paper which shows the store, the price he payed for the phone and the date of purchase ? Or did I understand something wrong ?
And I think most companies which sell mobile phones give a warranty for at least 12 months.
