> T68i clock reset when battery is removed

Hello everyone!
I noticed that the clock of my friend's 3-day old t68i phone is always 00:00 whenever you remove the battery. This does not happen to my t68i even if ALL settings are identical. I even removed my battery for more than 15 mins but the time is still the same.
Is this just a setting or does her phone needs replacement?

Thanks but even with a different battery, the problem is still there.
I'm not sure if t68i has an internal backup battery that powers the clock when the main battery is not attached.

I believe it does either have it's own internal battery, or perhaps memory which is at fault.
I've had various Nokias in which I've repaired that do the same thing - lose the time and date whenever the battery's taken out, even for a few seconds to put a sim card in or something. I'm not sure though if this battery's replaceable easily - you say the phone's only 3 days old? If so, it should still be under warranty, so you should be able to get the problem fixed for free.
As they discontinued the T68i a while ago, I guess this phone's probably been sitting in some store cupboard or something for a while with no charge in the battery, so the internal batt's lost all it's charge.

The phone uses a charged capacitor to keep the time up. When the charge in the capacitor discharges, the time resets. That is normal and there is nothing to worry bout. In your case you might have taken the battery after a relatively long time. If you regularly take out your battery, yours will also be reset.
