Hi, im new to bluetooth, but this problem just doesnt make sense.
Ive got a SE k700i, and a Billionton USB bluetooth adapter. Ive set up the usb to my pc, installed the drivers and software. But when i try to search for my PC with my K700i it wont find anything!
But when i try to send files to my PC with the "send to --> bluetooth device" my phone lights up it sets up a profile in "My Devices" and i can send a file to it, NO PROBLEMS.
But then it keeps asking me if i want to activate "Remote Control", i click no, and it comes back after 2 seconds over and over. So i try to send a picture now that it has a device in the profile. and it tells me bluetooth is unavailable
Also the SE File Manager or the Phone Monitor wont recognise my phone. Can anyone help me please?

I had the same problem with K700i firmware R2A and Windows XP SP2 Bluetooth. The problem disappeared when I went back to the BT drivers supplied by the BT-adapter manufacturer.
I have not tested SP2 BT with K700 FW R2L. Do you want me to?

make sure the latest drivers are installed for you BT device - check their website. Also, you do not need any other softare to send/receive pics etc only if u need to syncronise with outlook etc

I too had that problem with my Belkin bluetooth adapter. I turned the "Remote" setting off on my bluetooth settings (computer) and it doesn't try to connect to desktop anymore. This also means I can't use the remote function unless I activate it again.
I can't even get the original Belkin drivers to load, Windows XP with SP2 takes over and installs it's own software.

I am using an msi btoes dongle, after installing the sp2 drivers and connecting the phone, find the phone in the list of connected bluetooth devices and go to properties is should list available services. uncheck the one that says hid.
(im not near my pc at the moment so i cant remember all the menu titles)

@marksurry , go into device manager and click on "bluetooth devices" then remove the microsoft one, and double click on the other one, and install the manufacture drivers over the ones already there. hope this helps. this is what i did, and i have no problems at all except, i cant use the "My Phones" part of the file manager. but the "my bluetooth devices" icon on destop does exactly the same!
