Hi ALL

on the k700, when you write a text message, and put an animation in, does it still charge as though it was a text message? and what is ems?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

EMS is just a normal sms, but with the ability to include small black and white images, and melodies.
You will be charged as if it's a standard sms

sms - short message service

ems - extended message service

Using ems - u can add to your sms simple animations, pictures or sounds and itīs still charged as standard sms, sometimes, if it is bigger one, it is devided in more than one sms. Similar service is Nokia Smart Messaging...

Boba,i think it works with different phone brands. If you for example send an "sad" animation from SE phone to Siemens phone you will receive sms with Siemens version of "sad" animation.Just with some other graphic (duck for example)..
Just try it...

I agree with Ivan - different brands use only different types of animations...

I tried sending ems between , Siemens, Alcatel and Panasonic and it worked well. But it has different pictures, they just coverted it to it's own format. For example a Panasonic GD67 had color smilies and on Siemens was it in b/w.
