Is anyone in the uk using the visual communicator with GPRS? If so, what network are you on, and are you paygo or contract? Im on o2 paygo and cant get the bugger to connect. Any info or advice is appreciated.

Your problem is that you're on O2 PAYG as I am. They don't let the GPRS access servers like that needed for VC or Instant Messaging apps.
I don't know the technical details, just that it doesn't work.
Soon someone will say it's cos u have a wap profile not a web profile but I've never found this web profile or anyone who got it to work

The only difference I can see between the WAP profile and the web profile (and this simple difference MIGHT be significant)...
GPRS settings:
address should be 'mobile.o2.co.uk' instead of 'wap.o2.co.uk'
username should be 'username' instead of 'o2wap'
password should be 'password' instead of whatever it is on wap
