I have developed a tool so that you can select or filter what contacts should be syncronised from your k700i or p910 or any other phone/pda/device that doesn't come with sync software that allows you to do this. (k700/p910 comes with pc suite/sync station instead of xtnd connect)
Check it out at
http://www.tjitjing.com/sync and let me know what you think of it.

(I hope this post is ok, I couldn't find any advertising rule that I seem break)

I have been doing this manually for quite a while. Its only a two step operation in outlook using advanced find to select contacts in the category I created and then choose edit and "copy to folder" to copy them to the folder that I have defined in sync station to synchronise with
btw, I tend to use copy as I rarely add contacts in the phone itself but I imagine it would be just as easy to move the contacts to the folder, sync and then move them back to the main contacts folder
While I always respect innovation and creativity, and while I have read the details in your link, I am unclear what more this offers for $10? that I am not already doing in these two steps in outlook myself?

Hey masseur,
I wish I had known about "your way" before I wrote the tool, it would have saved me a lot of time...
Anyway, now that I've tried both ways, I think my tool is an easier way of doing it.
It also has a function, that I'm using, to exclude all contacts of a specified category (instead of including them) when syncing. I use this when I want all my contacts to sync except a few and it's also easy to forget to categories new contacts (have to remember to put everyone into the "sync-category") which means it will not be synced using the include vs the exclude method.
And hopefully I will add some features such as the automatic timer update that will make it even more useful.
Thanks for your comment.

admitedly I didn't try the tool when I posted last night as I was quite tired.
I'm going to give it a go later today or tomorrow (just got P910 and am playing

), but do please keep us informed of developments and if I come up with any suggestions I hope you'll not mind if I post them
cheers!

v1.2: Added an option to replace heading zeros with any optional string, eg +44/+46 or 0044/0046 etc. (ie make all phone numbers work internationally).

Hi there,
I just bought a K700i and have been trying to sync the outlook address book with it but with no luck. I got the error message 'session failed. invalid server response'. I can transfer files from it to my laptop using infrared with no problems. Can someone give me some hints? Thanks.
