I tried with the DSS-20, same case. Installed P800 PC Suite (i didn't know there were syncstation drivers on the K700 CD), nothing, then i installed the K700 PC Suite when i noticed, nothing! Well went to the site upgraded the firmware just fine so it must be a software problem and not driver or hardware problem

hello guys, what I did was just to download dss driver from se site then plugged the dss-20 I bought. After that I proceeded with the upgrade it worked liked a charm. Not a single error
All I did was install the dss-20 driver. I didn't even install pc suite.

I had the same problem. but i solved it a while ago. you just have to do the followings to get it worked. Go that little black phone down where the clock is, right click on it and select configure then select the com ports tab and enable the com4 and it will work for you.
