My Local Vodafone store has the P910 in stock.
Price from £170 on contract.

correct. I wrote in another thread yesterday that I got mine on upgrade for £82 from a vodafone shop.

I specifically asked if it was locked or vodafone live and was given the answer that it was neither.

However on getting home I found that it was network locked but a call to the store got me the unlock code without having to pay as they now have access in shop to such details. Entering that code made the phone fully unlocked.

Although there are no logos on the phone the startup and shutdown screens are vodafone and assuming its like the P900 it is in firmware and so unchangeable. Also several vodafone internet and wap accounts are present and which cannot be deleted and similarly the mms settings are predefined and unchangeable.

Fortunately I have a fully unbranded phone coming along tomorrow so at the end of the week I will most likely be selling this vodafone one if anyone is interested

Just realised this and ordered mine with CPW, will be at my door on tuesday

Is the vodafone live branding that bad? Is it not possible to get rid of it with an upgrade?

sadly branding is unremovable, and even worse, firmware updates are impossible unless they are on the 'Allow' list. In which case they have the vodafone branding.

@masseur, I've sent you a PM, if you could reply to me as soon as possible that would be great!

@masseur

Why not just take it back. Don't they have a 14 day return policy like say CPW. Just say that you were told it is unbranded when it isn't.
