hey guys im really really confused not knowing what to do, I was about to buy a P900 and then waited for the P910, and now people told me its better to wait for the P1000! so I bought a T630 for temporary usage.. and know im thinking that SE just released the P910 so why should they release another same series phone? and from the other side I say that nokia and motorolla and other brands are making very nice smart phones full of features, so SE might be pressured to release a phone before its time! and at the same time I cant wait too long.. and I've spent long to save enough money for such a phone.. I cant imagine buying a P910 then after 6 months or less they release the P1k!!

My advice is buy a T68i and spend the money you've saved on Zippo lighters and Jack Daniel's whiskey. This message was posted from a T68i

msa by your reasoning you'll spend the rest of your days waiting for the 'next phone because people have said it will be better'

just buy the damned thing alright!

No not just because people said that, but logically SE will have to produce a new phone and now the coming models are not just new models as before with few improvements but they will be filled with new and interesting features, so after saving money for long imagine you buy something expensive which you've been saving for 2 years to get it and then it becomes outdated after few months!

I agree with Vlamm, there is no point in endlessly waiting for the 'perfect' product; there is always going to be a better model just around the corner. The best thing to do is to decide, which features it is that you need and then base your product choice on that, if that turns out to be the P1000 then you should wait for it (of course this will involve a lot of assumption as the exact specifications of the P1000 are still unknown); if it turns out to be the P910 then you should buy that. It all comes down to choosing whichever product is best suited to your needs.

well let me be the one to break the bad news to you: this will happen no matter what!

If you want your item NOT to get outdated rather rapidly you need to invest it in something not technology- or fashion-sensitive.

Gold might be a good option.

But if you're gonna buy a technologically advanced item, then you need to accept the fact that the technology will develop a lot faster than your wallet will. Grin and bear it. someday soon somebody else will have a phone that might be better.

So what?? Contradicting popular belief, the release of a new phone with better features does not make your phone anything worse than it was on the day you bought it.

I see your point guys scotsboyuk + Vlammetje you're right but to a limited situation.. if I bought a P900 when they first came out then now its out for more than a year.. its ok it wont matter if they released a p1000 now.. but if I get a p910 and p1000 comes out a month or 2 later this will be a really bad thing, I mean when the time between two products is not much why shouldnt you wait a little bit? and bare in mind that the P900 isnt a big difference from the p800.. also the p910 from the p900 and so on

The bottom line is that you need to decide what will better suit your needs. If you think that the P1000 might include features that you need then you should wait for it. If you are looking to buy the P1000 so as to have the latest gadget then you should take on board what Vlamm has already said, technology does not stay still, you will never have the latest gadget for long because something better is always just about to be released.
